Who it is for
A writer with a reputation, trying something unlike their other work. A beginner who has never shown anyone. Anyone who wants a piece weighed before people know whose it is. The site does not ask which one you are.
How it works
Write it and post it. No byline. Claim it under your name later.
For the first hour nobody can claim it, including you. For a week it is on the front page, ranked with everything else, no name on it. People read it, vote, comment, and sometimes answer with a piece of their own. You watch.
Ready? Put your name on it.
Not ready? The window closes, the link between you and the piece is deleted, and the piece stays. Published, findable, nobody's.
What comes back
A comment is a reaction: short, in the order it arrived. Anything more is a response: a full piece, with a week of its own and its own claim. Reactions on the wall, thought in responses.
The author can answer a response with a word: beautiful, surprising or thoughtful.
On effort
Be human and keep your typos in. Nothing here is polished.
What you will not find
No number next to your name. Pieces have points; people have nothing visible. No notifications, no badges, no inbox. One page, hear, shows what came back, when you go looking. Nothing added because a platform has it.
Anonymous, not hidden
Every piece is read as a stranger's first. That is structural, not optional. Everything about a piece is public from the first second except who wrote it. For 7 days the site keeps a single record of that, so you can claim. Then it deletes the record. The piece stays.
One more thing it does
Answering something elsewhere? Paste the link, and the piece says what it is answering. Write the reply you'd write if you had time.
